Who we are?

BFC was founded in 2003. Its head office is in Zurich, Switzerland. BFC employs 50 permanent full time staff in branch offices located in Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan.

BFC believes that success in microfinance is built upon sound management, professional staff, and efficient systems. When these conditions are met funding will flow, allowing both the institutions and their clients to flourish. BFC assists microfinance service providers meet the needs of their clients while managing their growth well.

SME Lending Capacity Building at Doha Bank

BFC was contracted by Doha Bank to review newly developed SME products and lending procedures and provide training on SME lending to selected staff.

Rural Credit Programme Assessment

BFC evaluated prospects for sustainability of the ZIARI credit programme for small farmers and alternatives. Also, our consultants developed strategies for the development of a sustainable credit programme.

Audit of MSE Portfolio Under the KSBP III

BFC consultants performed a special audit engagement of the EBRD Kazakhstan Small Business Programme (KSBP) in Alliance Bank, in accordance with International Audit Standards.

Implementing MSE Lending Operations at Universal Bank for Development and Partnership

BFC implemented MSE Lending operations in four branches of the Universal Bank for Development and Partnership: Kiev, Lvov, Krivoi Rog and Cherkassy.

MSE Lending Advisory Services for Microinvest

BFC consultant reviewed individual lending products and procedures and delivered theoretical and on-the-job training to loan officers and branch managers.
