BFC has provided consulting services aimed at strengthening four newly-established MFIs in the provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou, Shanxi (2 MFIs) and on supporting potential investors of a potential fifth institution to be founded in Inner Mongolia.

As part of this assignment, BFC has:

• Individually assisted each MFI in defining its business strategy and developing a business plan;
• Assisted each MFI in financial management and controlling;
• Developed loan products aimed to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and meet profitability targets;
• Provided training for nine CEO's and twenty-two Loan Officers;
• Optimized business processes of targeted institutions.
