BFC consultants performed a special audit engagement of the EBRD Kazakhstan Small Business Programme (KSBP) in Alliance Bank, in accordance with International Audit Standards.

The engagement was carried out in order to:

• Evaluate the MSE portfolio of the bank
• Verify the existing system of internal control and assess risks in the organization of the lending process
• Evaluate compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Provide recommendations, develop a work plan and a guide for keeping a high quality of the portfolio
