BFC was contracted by EBRD to implement and develop strong SME lending skills at five partner banks (Agroinvestbank, TojikSodirotBank, TajPromBank, Bank Eskhata and Kazkommertsbank-Tajikistan), enabling them to finance SME clients in a sustainable manner.

The consultants’ tasks include:

• Assess banks’ loan portfolio, credit procedures and policies, loan products, organizational structures
• Make recommendations on optimization of SME lending processes
• Support marketing of SME loan products and financing facility
• Define banks implementation plans and training needs for the SME lending area and deliver appropriate training for lending staff

This assignment has been designed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and funded by the Early Transition Countries Fund and the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.
