BFC evaluated prospects for sustainability of the ZIARI credit programme for small farmers and alternatives. Also, our consultants developed strategies for the development of a sustainable credit programme.

The assignment involved:

• Conducting an operational and financial assessment of ZIARI;
• Determining the breakeven point at which ZIARI would reach financial self-sufficiency;
• Developing a strategy for a sustainable programme or other support mechanisms to serve the credit needs of organic farmers and processors and other small farmers in Georgia.
