The purpose of the assignment was to support the Government of Tajikistan and KfW in finalizing the project design in preparation of the “Rural Financial Sector Programme”. BFC conducted Due Diligence of local MFIs.

The overall scope of services included:

• Clear identification of potential risks on the macro and project level
• MFI and MSME Sector Analysis Update
• Target Group Analysis Update
• MFI screening and identification of potential candidates for credit line.
